The State Game Lodge is situated in a mountain valley and is surrounded by ponderosa forest. The lodge is close to tourist attractions like the Grace Coolidge Creek and the Mount Rushmore National Monument.
There are 30 accommodations at the State Game Lodge. These are furnished with televisions, air-conditioning units and private bathrooms. Sofa sleepers, full kitchens and fireplaces can be found in select units.
Built in 1920, the State Game Lodge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This property provides meeting/event facilities, a front porch and a dining room that serves South Dakota specialties.
