Welcome to Wuppertal, the cultural heart of Nordrhein-Westfalen and the home of the world-famous Schwebebahn monorail, Wuppertal Zoo, and of course, the centrally-located Golden Tulip Hotel. In 1900 the Historische Stadthalle was built in a striking and elegant Wilhelmine style. After a superbly effective restoration in 1995 which restored it to its former glory combining its original features and excellent acoustics with state-of-the-art technology, it is now a protected building and right next to the hotel as one of the last remaining buildings of this type. The hotel offers 130 luxurious rooms including 13 suites, a restaurant and a bar. From the hotel you can easily reach the zoo and the many sights and museums within Wuppertal. Cologne, Dusseldorf and the whole Ruhrgebiet (Bochum, Dortmund etc. ) are not far away and also have lots to offer.
Arriving from the A46 autobahn: Leave the autobahn at the Wuppertal-Katernberg exit and continue towards Elberfeld. Keep going straight on until you reach the crossroads at Robert-Daum-Platz then turn left. Take the next right and then go right again, up into Sudstrae. You will find the Stadthalle Hotel car park at the top of the hill on the left-hand side. Arriving by train: If coming at Auppertal Hauptbahnhof stay on the left-hand side after leaving at the main exit. Carry on uphill along Bahnhofstrasse for around 400 metres and you will find us behind the restored Stadthalle on the right-hand side.
